Would you take Bony from Man City?
Pep wants to offload him.

No from me, brother in law is a City Season ticket holder and he's he looks over 40 and other players walk faster than he can run!

Those players from Marsille we are linked with and Tore all look the way forward

Give Elliott Lee a go FFS
Look at Kane

Sakho is head and shoulders a better player than Bony too

Defoe even bigger NO

Re: Would you take Bony from Man City?
Defoe an awful target imo. Aged, inconsistent, high wages, can't play the lone role. Can't see the logic there at all.

The reason why theyre big names is because they used to be good.
Surely we should be looking for talent not names
Smells like bullshit to me

Re: Would you take Bony from Man City?
Sunderland go down they will want him off the wage bill, he's probably now their biggest earner now Johnson's gone. Couple of mill given the new money deal would be fuck all.

A two year deal would suit all, he's clearly in great shape (he's 3 years older than Rooney) for his age, he's quick and he's still one of the best finishers in the box in the Prem.

Great weapon from the bench when you need fresh legs and probably would feel he had something to atone for. Bit of a no brainer for a fourth striker really, especially if we have a European campaign next year.

Re: Would you take Bony from Man City?
Fuck Bony and get Batshuayi in.

Find it highly unlikely that he's going to want to join a club like Spurs to be used part time behind Kane and he's quality.

If on loan or cheap yes

Re: Would you take Bony from Man City?
Agree on Defoe. I think he realises he made a terrible mistake and was poorly advised at the time.

I'm sure if he came back, his attitude was right and he scored some goals, he'd be forgiven by most.

Also, he missed a one on one chance you'd expect him to finish a couple of weeks ago against us. I think he did it on purpose! :-)

5th

11th highest Prem scorer...100+ goals...

19 in 55 for England...

18 in 45 for a crap Sunderland team...

He's 33 so would have to a be on no more than a 2 year deal but think he would be a good signing.

Would be the best finisher at the club imo.

I'd rather have Benteke

Re: Would you take Bony from Man City?
I'd have Defoe next season as back up. Would probably be happy to sit on our bench and would probably score more often than not when he came on. He would allow Bilic to change things and give those new legs when needed plus I think he's injury record isn't too bad?

People forget Defoe gets in loads of good positions but actually misses a lot.

Some of you lot laughed when I said Defoe was like an English Romario...after his winning goal at OT...2001...

Done OK in the 14 plus years since...

haha

Re: Would you take Bony from Man City?
If we're gonna have four strikers next season i'd be happy with Carroll - Sakho - one big money signing (not gonna pretend that i know much about any of the foreigners being linked)

And, this might get me lynched, I'd be happy with Defoe back as 3rd/4th choice back-up.

Not sure if there would be space with FPP rules but he's still a great finisher, he'd be a completely different option to the other strikers and I reckon he'd love to come back.
